Since winning election in November 2010, I’ve been hard at work representing the
people of the 19th District on the Kent County Board of Commissioners. 

In addition to serving on the Legislative and Human Resources Committee, the
Board of Public Works and the Millage and Collaboration Subcommittees, I am
also serving as Chair of the Community Health Advisory Committee (CHAC).  It
has been very exciting to get to know the ropes and to serve the residents in my
district.

Due to redistricting, which was done earlier this year, the 19th District now
includes the southeastern corner of Grand Rapids’ Third Ward, as well as 5 of the
6 precincts in East Grand Rapids.  I look forward to getting to know the residents
of the new portion of the 19th District this year!

Along with serving on the Kent County Board of Commissioners, I work as
Communications Director for Ideomed, a small start-up company based in Grand
Rapids that focuses on pediatric asthma management.  I live in Grand Rapids
with my husband Jason, who is an IT consultant for a local firm, and my son
Colin.
